STAPI’s contribution as Support Service Organisation :
 
STAPI today is successfully intermediating for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in two projects in health and family welfare – as a “Mother NGO”. STAPI having diversified into other sectors like women and child development and micro-finance is also currently a Nodal Agency for Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK) of the Department of women and Child Welfare, Government of India.
The parent organisation of STAPI (SOSVA) is the first Mother NGO of the country recognised by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. STAPI, earlier SOSVA as a Mother NGO was heavily involved in implementation of various help projects like PVOH-II, a project funded by USAID through Govt. of India, Small Family Norms, Reproductive Child Health Scheme I & II and Indian system of Medicine & Homeopathy, Gram Arogya Kendra, to name a few.

STAPI is thus a support service organization working to strengthen the numerous Field level Non – Governmental Organizations (FNGOs). A critical area wherein the small Field level Non-Governmental Organizations need support is that of Human Resource Development.
