STAPI was selected as Support organisation (SO) for Jalswarajya –II Project for Pune District by Reform Support and Project Management Unit, Department of Water Supply and Sanitation Govt. of Maharashtra.
The project area covers 123 villages from 11 blocks of Pune District. The project intervention was started in April 2015. STAPI as a Support Organization (SO), is involved in planning, implementation, awareness raising, communication, capacity building, community mobilization, Facilitation, handholding in analysis and decision making, support in development of systems and procedures, facilitation in record keeping and monitoring of water supply and sanitation initiatives at village, and panchayat level.
Various community mobilisation activities viz orientation meetings, conduct of baseline surveys and participatory Rural Appraisals, Formation / Reformation / Restoration of village level committees, conduct of Women Gramsabha and Special PFR and DPR Gramsabha’s were organized.

The programme intervention is carried out in 70 priority villages from 11 blocks of Pune District.The Social Mobilization activities viz Conduct of Base Line Surveys and Participatory Rural Appraisals, Women Gramsabhas PFR and DPR Gramsabhas, Formation / Reformation and Restoration of Village level Committees training of village level committee members were undertaken.
ODF Inspection of 30 Gram Panchayats from Satara District of Maharashtra :
STAPI as Key Resource Centre recognition by Water and Sanitation Department Government of Maharashtra conducted ODF Inspections of 30 Gram Panchayats. Koregaon (8) and Satara (22) from Satara District of Maharashtra.

As a Support Organization (SO), STAPI is engaged in planning, implementation, capacity building, communication and monitoring of water supply and sanitation initiatives at Village, and Panchayat level.
Various Social Mobilization activities viz. Capacity Building trainings of members of 03 Village level Committees, Supportive supervision and joint monitoring visits with contractors, Development of Detailed Project Report on Waste Water Management in peri-urban villages, IEC Activities in water and sanitation through school rallies, Behavior Change Communication initiatives through distribution of IEC Kits to local residents of peri-urban villages of Shirur Block of Pune District were carried out during the period under project.
The 70 priority villages under Jalswarajya II Pune Project cover Peri Urban villages (6), Water Stressed villages (20), Water Quality villages (22) and Aquifer villages (14) form Pune District.
The Project activities in four categories of the vilages included distribution of IEC Kits to 2 peri urban villages, World Bank Officials visits to peri - urban and water quality affected villages of Shirur, Purandar and Inapur blocks, I.V.A Visits to water quality affected / water villages and aquifer villages of Indapur, Khed and Shirur blocks, operation & Maintenance as a part of exit protocol and social audit in 6 Water Stressed villages form Mulshi, Khed, Velha and Bhor Blocks, capacity building of 210 observation wells owners form 13 aquifer villages in measurement and recoding of water level and rainfall monitoring from Shirur, Khed, Purandar and Ambegaon blocks, capacity building trainings of 3 villages level committees I.E.C. Sessions on O & M, review and co - ordination meetings and joint monitoring visis with Zilha Parishad Pune Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Pune and Contractors of peri - urban villages / Water quality affected vilages / Water stressed villages.
Three Information Centre’s for IEC on ground water management were set up in Pur, Pokhar, Pabal villages of Purandar & Shirur blocks of Pune District respectively during the period under report.
Our project team along with Block Regional co-ordinator Water Quality Consultant form Zilla Parishad Pune and officials form MJP and GSDA participated in joint workshop on water quality water supply and sanitation O & M Exit Protocol organized by ZillaParishad Pune on 28/03/2019.

STAPI as Support Organization (SO)for Satara District for JalSwarajya –II Project came on board in October 2018.
The project activates are conducted in 54 Villages -Peri Urban villages (08), Water Stressed villages (30), Water Quality villages (2) and Aquifer villages (14) from 11 blocks of Satara District of Maharashtra.
The project activates included village level committees meetings and trainings, ward - wise and corner meetings, meetings with SHG members and youth, study cum exposure visits, baseline surveys in proposed peri- Urban Villages Bilhar (villages of Books) Block Mahabaleshwar and 19 water stressed villages, focus Group, IPC sessions and capacity building of 02 observation wells owners form 14 aquifer Villages of Phaltan block in measurement and recording of water level and rainfall monitoring, co-ordination meetings and joint monitoring visits with Zilla Parishad Satara, visits by officials of World bank and Department of Water and Sanitation, Govt of Maharashtra, in peri- uraban and water stressed villages.
The various I.E.C activities included viz Village level Committee meetings and trainings, ward-wise and corner meetings, Meetings with SHG Members, youth meetings, study cum exposure visits, co-ordination meetings with ZillaParishad and, MJP Satara in periurban villages of Satara and Karad Blocks with regard to water distribution, water meter O &M and subsidy contribution by the villagers.
Banganga Ground water Management Federation of 14 Aquifer Villages form Phaltan Block was registered with the office of Joint Charity Commissioner Satara during the period under report.
Our project team along with office bvearats of Banganga Ground water Management Federation, officials from MJP and GDSA Satara participated in a joint review meeting under the chairmanship of Hon Chief Exective Officer Zilla Parishad Satara at Zilla Parishad Satara on 28/03/2019.
